Program Description


The function of the Wastewater Collection Department is to maintain, repair, and rehabilitate more than 80 miles of pipe and 1,613 manholes that make up the city's wastewater collection system. The wastewater collection system receives and transports used water from residential, commercial, and industrial sites to the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

Performance Objectives


  • Eliminate sewer stoppages in a timely manner
  • Replace deteriorated and undersized wastewater mains and manholes
  • Respond to citizen service requests in a courteous and timely manner
  • Respond to line locates in a timely manner
