Getting an early start on St. Patrick's Day

There will be a St. Patrick’s Day Parade Thurs. (March 16) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Streets that will be closed are W. Pearl--from Morgan to Houston (the Square).  Also, Houston--from Pearl to Bridge, and Bridge--from Houston to Hannaford. 

Avoid these areas if possible--and please use caution near the parade route.

New Honorary Members

The Granbury Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) has two new Honorary Members: (l to r) Julia Pannell and Heather Walls. 

Ms. Pannell has been a faithful supporter of GVFD for many years. When asked about her contributions, several GVFD officers said that Pannell has supported the department in so many ways, it is impossible to list them all.

Ms. Walls has served as the Volunteer Fire Department’s Administrative Assistant for three years.  Her dedicated and professional work helps the department run smoothly and, more importantly, gives the officers more time to focus on training and firefighting duties.

The City congratulates both ladies and thanks them for their service!
