Unofficial results show Cathy Reidy as the winner of the Special Election Runoff on July 27, 2021 to fill an unexpired term as Granbury Councilperson Place 5. Reidy received 436 votes (52.91 percent) and Steven Vale received 388 (47.09 percent).
The Place 5 seat was vacated by Tony Mobly earlier this year after filing to run for Mayor.
Following the canvassing of the votes by City Council at their August 3 meeting, the official winner will be sworn in to serve on Council until November 2021.
