[ARCHIVED] March Building Permit No.’s Show Huge Increases from 2020

4-5-2021 March 2021 Bldg nmbrs

The City of Granbury's building permit numbers for March were released April 9, and 11 of the 16 categories saw substantial growth from the same time last year. Some of these building permit categories saw a fantastic jump of three to four times the usual numbers. These included:

  • Building Plumbing (Residential) – from 17 to 48 permits
  • Building Electrical (Residential) – from 12 to 55 permits
  • Certificate of Occupancy – from 10 to 28 permits
  • Irrigation– from 6 to 37 permits

Not only did the number of building permits in the 16 categories rise significantly in March, but the number of inspections they generated rose, too. The City of Granbury employs seven inspectors who performed more than 1,060 inspections in March. As the numbers show, the growth in Granbury is substantial and ongoing.

These numbers, and those from previous months and years, can be found on the City of Granbury website at www.granbury.org/1004/9815/Monthly-Building-Reports.
