[ARCHIVED] Acton 8th Grader, O’Carroll, Named Honorary Councilmember


At Tuesday night’s Granbury City Council regular meeting, Mayor Nin Hulett and the entire City Council named Acton Middle School 8th grader Pete O’Carroll as April’s Honorary City Councilmember. O’Carroll is the son of Drs. Peter and Kelly O’Carroll.

Pete serves as student council president at AMS and is also a cross country, basketball, track and football team member. He is in his second year of varsity choir and is a National Junior Honor Society member. Outside of school, Pete plays competitive club soccer and enjoys spending time with friends and family. 

Pete stated that one of his favorite things about living in Granbury is summer fun on the lake. After graduating high school, he hopes to attend college at Rice University or Duke University.
