Granbury’s Mayor and City Council recognized a critical area of operation for the City, with a proclamation at last night’s City Council meeting in City Hall. The proclamation recognized March 2021 as “Procurement Month” in Granbury
“The procurement people are the backbone (of any successful organization),” said Mayor Nin Hulett. “I will say we (the City of Granbury) have a really GREAT procurement team, and if you ever want the opportunity to see excellence in action, go see these people.”
Part of the proclamation read, “the public procurement professionals in the City of Granbury are committed to providing high-caliber strategic, logistical and operational support of all departments within the City of Granbury; and recognize, support and practice the Public Procurement Values and Guiding Principles of Accountability, Ethics, Impartiality, Professionalism, Service, and Transparency, established by National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, as fundamental tenets of the public procurement profession.”
