With another winter storm set to hit Granbury and Hood County this evening, the City’s trash and recycling contractor, Waste Connections Lone Star, Inc., has notified the City that it will be closing all operations and will be unable to collect ANY trash or recycling until Friday at the earliest.
“The services provided, Friday, will be targeted in strategic populated areas. We will do everything we can to service highly populated areas for Residential and Commercial Customers,” said Sean Dowden, District Manager, Waste Connections. “Outlying areas with potentially hazardous road conditions will not be serviced until the next scheduled service day. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause your cities and communities.”
Dowden concluded by saying, “please rest assure we will all prevail in this situation and we all will overcome the challenges ahead.”
