UPDATE: Various lane closures will also occur on SH 171 (eastbound and westbound) on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting!

The Texas Department of Transportation is warning drivers that State Highway 171 (eastbound and westbound) will be reduced to one lane, as needed, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, weather permitting, at the intersection SH 171 and Slocum Ranch Road.

The lane closures are part of the US 377 Cresson Relief Route, which is part of a new four-lane divided highway to the west of the US 377/SH 171 intersection, in Cresson.

Drivers should expect delays during these periods. TxDOT will have flaggers directing traffic, so drivers are being asked to slow down in the construction zone.
