Closures are scheduled for State Highway 171 and Farm to Market Road 3450 (Monroe Highway) for construction work on the ongoing Cresson Relief By-pass Project, which started earlier this year.

Beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, and running through 5 p.m. Saturday:

  • SH 171 will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of SH 171 and FM 3450, while FM 3450 will be reduced to one lane from SH 171 to half a mile west of SH 171.

Daily lane closures will happen next week, Monday through Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • SH 171 will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of SH 171 and FM 3450, while FM 3450 will be reduced to one lane from SH 171 to half a mile west of SH 171.

The Texas Department of Transportation encourages drivers to pay close attention to all warning signs within the construction zone while crews work diligently to complete this project as quickly and as safely as possible. Signs will be posted for the closures and motorists should expect delays.
