[ARCHIVED] City to Host Open House for Citizen Input on Parks Master Plan

Public Meeting Flyer - Parks Plan

What do you want from your City parks and recreation? Join us for an open house to provide input on your vision for the future of parks and recreation in Granbury on Wednesday, September 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Granbury City Hall (116 W. Bridge St.).

A brief introductory presentation will be held at 6:15 followed by facilitated open house stations. The goal of the meeting is to have productive interaction between the public and the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan planning team in order to determine the desires and needs of the community.

The City of Granbury is in the process of updating the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan. The purpose of the Master Plan is to provide guidance to the City of Granbury and the decisions that it makes with regard to parks, recreation, and open space over the next 10 years. It is important that these decisions work in concert to develop a diverse and exciting parks, recreation, and open space system that enhances the City’s quality of life for years to come.

The City last adopted a Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan in 2010; the plan is available online.

The City of Granbury is working with Halff Associates to create this plan, who the City also worked with Halff Associates for the 2010 plan. Halff Associates is a unique regional consulting firm that has provided full-service engineering, architecture, and related services for decades.
