The Granbury Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Push In Ceremony for their newest truck on Thursday, August 15, 7:00 p.m. at GVFD Station 1 (1701 West Pearl St.)
Please join us this Thursday for the time-honored fire tradition of “pushing in” a new apparatus. Pushing in goes back to the days of horse-drawn steam pumpers. The horses were detached and the pumpers were “pushed in” to the station by the firefighters. This tradition honors the firefighters who came before us. The Granbury City Manager, Assistant City Manager, and members of the Granbury City Council will be in attendance for the ceremony.
