[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Community Easter Egg Hunt at City Park Rescheduled for April 20

Egg Hunt FB 2019

WEATHER UPDATE! Due to the inclement weather, we are rescheduling the Community Easter Egg Hunt! Join us instead on Saturday, April 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for family fun at Granbury City Park. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope to see you at the rescheduled egg hunt!

However, the Run For Your PEEPS 5K is still set to happen this morning (4/13). We may have a delayed start, but the event has not been canceled. See you there, runners and walkers!

It’s time again for a spring tradition in Granbury! Grab your baskets and get ready to come join the City in searching for Easter treasures. The City of Granbury Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual community-wide Easter Egg Hunt at City Park on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This free event offers youth 12-years-old and younger the opportunity to hunt for thousands of eggs hidden in City Park (corner of Pearl and Park Streets). Registration starts at 11:00 a.m., and the hunt starts at 12 p.m. on the soccer fields.

Registration tables will be setup at the west entrance of the park near the Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Center and the north entrance by the soccer fields. The egg hunt areas will be split up into age groups (0-3 and Special Needs (sugar-free candy only), 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12). All age groups will start their egg hunts at the same time in their separate locations. Parents and guardians will be able to assist children participating in the special needs and 0-3-year-old hunts.

There will also be fun for the family after the egg hunt. There will be a DJ, bounce houses, free food, and special surprises in some of the eggs.

For more information about the community-wide Easter Egg Hunt contact Christy Allen at callen@granbury.org or call the Granbury Parks and Recreation Department at 817-573-7030.

The Community-wide Easter Egg Hunt will follow the Run for Your Peeps 5K Walk/Run taking place that morning. To more information or to register for the run, visit www.granbury.org/5K.
