[ARCHIVED] City Beach Park Reopened

beach open

City Beach Park (505 E. Pearl St.), which had been temporarily closed since Thursday, July 5 while the City implemented additional safety measures, has been reopened.

Perimeter buoy markers provided by the Brazos River Authority (BRA) were installed at depths of 5.5 to 6 feet. Additionally, the Granbury Police Department will have officers provide security services for City Beach Park to help ensure park guests observe existing safety rules. All visitors must enter City Beach Park from the east entrance (by the Lake Granbury Conference Center).

City staff is in the process of researching and developing a crowd capacity policy to implement at City Beach Park. The City will continue to collaborate with the BRA and state and local fire and law enforcement agencies for the welfare and benefit of Granbury’s citizens and guests.

We appreciate the community's patience during City Beach Park’s temporary closure. For more information about City Beach Park, visit www.granbury.org/beach.
