[ARCHIVED] Blue Notices Placed at Residences Not Affiliated with City

The City has received questions from concerned citizens regarding blue notices (pictured) that have been placed at the doors of many residences in Granbury. These notices were not administered by the City of Granbury, and they are not in any way affiliated with the City of Granbury or its water utility services.

The City of Granbury works to provide the highest quality drinking water for the community. The City is on the second phase of a three phase plan to enhance the water distribution system. Phase I of the project, completed in January 2018, brought the new Surface Water Treatment Plant to the community. The plant uses microfiltration and reverse osmosis methods to treat up to 2.5 million gallons of water per day. With the addition of the Surface Water Treatment Plant, the City of Granbury is now providing the highest water quality possible to our citizens and will continue to do so in the future. Water from the new plant contains fewer minerals, which will give it a better taste and prevent the white residue that hard water causes. Learn more about the Surface Water Treatment Plant and the other ongoing improvements to the water distribution system at www.granbury.org/waterdistributionproject.
