[ARCHIVED] Conference Center Plans Unique Lineup for ‘GranMarry’ Bridal Celebration

The Granbury Resort Conference Center (GRCC) staff is bringing a new, unique event to Granbury this year with the first ever ‘GranMarry’ nontraditional bridal celebration. The free event will be held at the GRCC on National Proposal Day (Tuesday, March 20) from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The GRCC staff is aiming to make GranMarry a fun and interactive experience for soon-to-be brides and grooms. To meet that goal, they are getting creative, and asking the event’s vendors to do the same.GranMarry Spotlight Banner

Rather than filling the space with drab pipe and drape vendor booths, GRCC staff will set up Lake Granbury Ballroom in two open sections:  A wedding ceremony with picturesque Lake Granbury as a backdrop, and a wedding reception area complete with a dance floor. The vendors for the event will be set up around the perimeter of the ballroom.

Those GranMarry vendors are stepping up to the challenge with their out-of-the box ideas:

  • With beautiful Lake Granbury as the backdrop, Shad Ramsey Photography will take and print onsite a free photograph for all couples in attendance.
  • Couples can step outside the conference center and catch a ride in one of All American Limo & Transportation Services limousines around beautiful downtown Granbury.

GranMarry vendors are continuing to come up with innovative ideas to meet the backdrop of the nontraditional bridal celebration.

“There will definitely be some surprises,” Kyle Smith, Operations Manager at Granbury Resort Conference Center, said, “We hope that every couple takes advantage of this free event.  The progressive thinking from the vendors and our staff will make this the most unique bridal show they have ever attended.”

Along with the full wedding and reception set-up, the event will feature vendors from catering, hotel, photography, make-up & beauty products, transportation and certified wedding planning.
