Grab your baskets, it’s that time of year again! The City of Granbury Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 6th Annual Community Wide Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at City Park.
This free event offers youth 12 and under the opportunity to hunt for 50,000 eggs hidden throughout City Park (corner of Pearl and Park Streets). In hopes of making this year’s event even bigger and better than the previous, the Parks and Recreation Department is asking for donations and participation from the community.
For those who would like to donate there are a few different items needed for the event:
• Individually wrapped candy (not chocolate or homemade)
• Plastic eggs
• Prizes for children who find prize eggs
If you, your organization, or your business would like to participate in the event, informational booths, vendors, and games are needed. There are a limited number of spots available for these setups, and they are first-come, first-served. If you would like to have a booth at the event, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department by 5:00 pm on March 31.
The following are guidelines for booth operators at the event:
• Include some type of game or activity at your booth
• Promotional items and giveaways are encouraged
• No buying or selling of goods, as this is a free community event
• Booth operators must supply their own tables, chairs, tablecloths, and tents
• Must be setup at Softball Field #4 at Granbury City Park by 10:30 am on April 8
If you would like to participate by hosting a booth or donating items for this beloved community event, contact Parks and Recreational Coordinator Maggie Wylie at mwylie@granbury.org or (817)573-7030.
