[ARCHIVED] Downtown Park & Ride Tram to Run Memorial Day

Veterans from across Hood County and beyond are invited to participate in a special Memorial Day commemoration at 9 a.m. Monday, May 26, at the Hood County Courthouse.

A presentation of colors by the Granbury ISD JROTC will kick off the ceremony which will also include remarks by Mayor Nin Hulett. Commemorative coins recognizing the service of military veterans in attendance will also be distributed. The ceremony is being presented by the City of Granbury, the Historic Granbury Merchant Association, VFW Post 7835 and American Legion Posts 491 and 278. Following the ceremony, the U.S. Veterans Museum will host the annual Memorial Day parade from Hewlett Park, up Pearl Street to the Field of Flags, located at Pirate Drive and Hwy. 377.

The City will operate a tram service from the Houston Street parking lot to the Square from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday.
