Granbury Mayor

Mayor of Granbury
Mayor Pratt's solgan for the city: "Granbury - a historic town with a vision to the future."

Rickie Pratt

Mayor Pratt
Rickie Pratt, born in 1956, grew up working with his dad in a TV repair shop. After graduating from Dublin High School, with honors, he attended Tarleton State University, majoring in Business with a minor in drama / speech. His desire to join the Granbury Opera House led him to Granbury in 1975, where he has resided ever since.

Rickie left the Granbury Opera House in 1977 to open his own business, which at that time was named Pratt’s Stereo Repair. As times changed, so did the nature of his business. Concentrating mainly on the demand for custom audio and video designs and installations, Pratt’s Stereo and Video has provided Rickie with opportunities to meet and interact with many of Granbury’s residents. His love for the area and his concerns for the citizens will continue as he begins his new role as your mayor.

Pratt's Promise
By electing him to the mayor’s office, Rickie understands that the citizens of Granbury have sent him a clear message that they no longer want their City Council to continue doing business as it has been done in the past. They have voted for honesty, integrity and personal accountability. His primary goal for his tenure as your mayor is to bring openness and transparency into local government. He wants the City Council of Granbury to restore confidence and trust back into the minds of the citizens. Since the City Council is the trustee of the taxpayer, its elected officials should act responsibly at all times on behalf of the citizens in a prudent and open environment. It is the responsibility of the mayor, as a non-voting member, to champion that philosophy at all times.

Mayor Pratt encourages the citizens of Granbury to participate in the conversations of local government and wants their voices to the City Council to be heard by lending his ear to those who elected him.
