Temporary Food Establishments / Festivals
The Texas Food Establishment Rules define a temporary food establishment as: A food establishment that operates for a period of no more than 14 consecutive days, in conjunction with a single event or celebration.
The Health Department must receive the temporary food establishment permit application
at least one week prior to the event. A late fee of one-half the permit fee will be assessed if the completed application and permit fee are not received within two full working days prior to the event.
