The City of Granbury has deployed a TROPOS wireless mesh network over approximately 10 square miles of the incorporated city limits. This wireless network provides City workers access to the resources they need to be better equipped to provide services to our citizens. This network also allows our citizens access to the Internet. We offer several plans ranging from daily rates for our visitors at $5.95/day to monthly plans for long term use up to $29.95/mth. If you have a marginal signal we encourage you to contact us to arrange a time to setup up a Ruckus booster at your location that will increase the power rating as well as the signal strength which will result in more coverage in the home and faster internet speeds. Starting October 1, 2015 the Ruckus booster $30 buyback program will be discontinued.
To connect to our service simply select "citywifi" from your available wireless networks. Once you are connected simply open your Internet browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) and our sign up splash page will appear. The signup for service link is located below the login fields. This link will guide you through the process of setting up a user id and password as well as selecting which service plan best suits your needs. Be sure and use the home address as the billing address of the credit/debit card being used to pay for the service.
If you have trouble getting connected or have questions about our service please call our Information Technology Department at 817-573-1114 X1734. They will be glad to answer any questions and help you get connected.
