Swimming Lessons Summer 2010

 

Group Sessions:

Lessons:
     The Granbury Parks & Recreation Department offers swim classes for all ages. Classes follow a combination of Red Cross and YMCA teaching guidelines and testing procedures.  We recommend that you register for 2 sessions even if you cannot attend back-to-back weeks. All efforts will be made to place your child in the class requested, however, classes will be filled on a first come basis.  If you do not get in your first choice class, you will be given your second choice, if available.  A waiting list will be taken for closed classes.  For questions about which class your child needs, please contact Rebecca Colborg with the information below. Your child’s registration may be mailed to the address below or placed in the swim drop box at the City of Granbury Municipal Service Center.  Please enclose full payment of $40.00 to reserve your space no later than the Thursday prior to the start of your requested session.  Your registration will be confirmed by telephone as soon as it is processed. 

 
Swim Lesson Cancellation Procedure:
   Classes will be cancelled only in the case of severe weather at the pool. Other than the make-up Friday after your sesion, cancelled classes will not be rescheduled or "made up". Refunds will not be provided due to missed lessons or 1 day of inclement weather. Telephone calls to individual participants will be made in the event of swim lesson cancellation. On days when the weather is questionable, please call 817-579-SWIM (817-579-7946) no more than 30 minutes before your lesson time to inquire about the status of swim lessons.

 

Private Swimming Lessons: 
 

Private swim lessons are available on a limited basis from June 3rd-July 29th . Please contact Swim Instructor Rebecca Colborg @ 817-573-1370 or to have your name placed on an interest list. If there is availability, you will be contacted to arrange your private lessons. Private lessons are on a first-come, first-serve basis as time slots become available. Your spot will not be held longer than 3 days unless payment is made. The private lesson fee is $80.00 for 4-half-hour lessons.

 

Please include the student’s name(s) in the memo line of your check so we can keep a record of your payment.  A receipt will be mailed after you have received a confirmation for your registered class.

 

Applications must be turned in and paid in full no later than 12:00pm the Thursday prior to your requested class in order to reserve a spot in that or any other class (in case your first choice is full).
