Granbury Unveils

Latest National Honor

WATCH THE VIDEO On Friday morning, Sept. 12, City Manager Chris Coffman proudly unveiled Granbury’s newest honor in front of the Visit Granbury offices...our 2025 Best Historic Small Town in America plaque. This marks the fourth time Granbury has received this national recognition from USA Today readers (also in 2019, 2020, and 2021). Congratulations to everyone who helped make it happen. It's just another reason why Granbury is such a wonderful place to live!

GHS Campus Cleanup

About thirty Granbury High School students came out early on Saturday morning (Sept. 13) and worked hard during the school’s “Great Granbury Cleanup.”

Wearing bright safety vests and armed with grabbers and trash bags provided by the City of Granbury, these dedicated students worked side by side with their staff advisors to make a real difference.

By mid-morning, they had collected dozens of bags of trash from the campus grounds, leaving their school cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.

A big congratulations and thank you to the students and advisors whose teamwork, community spirit, and commitment to Keep Granbury Beautiful are a shining example for us all!

Siren Tests

Warning Siren Tests

Hood County Emergency Sirens sound for only two reasons: a weather warning or an emergency at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant near Glen Rose. They are tested at noon on the first and third Monday of each month, except major holidays.

If you hear a siren AT ANY OTHER TIME, please go indoors. Turn on your TV to local news or radio to WBAP 820 AM.
