Honorary Councilmember Paola Lumbreras

At the March 1 Council meeting, Paola Lumbreas, a 5th grader at Acton Elementary was the Honorary Councilmember. Once upon a time, she was “the new kid” and learned how scary that can be. She took action. She applied to be an “Ambassador.” Now, one of Paola’s tasks is to conduct tours for new students, helping them feel better about their new school. She has demonstrated how to change her unpleasant experience into a better one for others. WATCH THE VIDEO
