Building Maintenance
Responsibilities
Building maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all city-owned facilities including: City Hall, Municipal Service Center, Granbury Regional Airport, Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Center, Conference Center, two fire stations, public restrooms, and 58 other properties with at least one structure on each. This department is also responsible for cleaning City Hall, Municipal Service Center, Granbury Regional Airport, two fire stations, and American Town Hall.
Additional responsibilities for the Building Maintenance Department include plumbing, HVAC, electrical, remodeling, repair of furniture, security of buildings (changing out locks), fire alarm and emergency sprinkler systems, car wash, toilets, daily cleaning, preparation for meetings, niceties such as making tea and coffee for employees on a daily basis, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment for all city employees and visitors.
Additional Duties
This department is responsible for performing any function that is related to maintaining the storage of festival items, overstock of old office equipment, building material and supplies; preparing and assisting with the auction / sale of city-owned equipment and vehicles, and the demolition of buildings, while salvaging any possible materials.
Objectives
